Branford Marsalis, Jazz musician, New Orleans native J

Read some local newspaper "Marsalis embraces jazz tradition" got the center of my attention, here’s what happen:

“What makes entertainment work for everybody is a certain embracing of a blatant superficiality of it, and that’s just something that I wasn’t able to do. ... It was the revelation I need to realize that I’m not an entertainer, I’m an artist.”

The reason that made him move to Durham, North California is this
“My son had turn 15 and I just felt at the time that he needed to be in an environment where there’s less of an overt embrace of materialism… and that tremendous sense of entitlement. In New York, the second or third question when you meet someone is ‘What do you do?’ Most people in Durham don’t know what I do or who I am and that’s great”

The reason that made him left Columbia/Sony is this:
When he asked his son why he was illegally downloading some music rather than buying the CD. His son explained that it made no sense to pay US$16 for a CD that he knew he wouldn’t be listening more than 6 weeks time.
Music has become very disposable… not really a music at all but, instead, a product.
How good the music is irrelevant to how successful it is” Some music companies emphasize music on its entertainment side.

Try to think about this as A REAL APPRECIATION TO MUSIC WHICH KNOWS NO BORDER/ LIMITATION/ RACE AND COLOUR

I believe we should take national flag not just a symbol itself, but also a real honour of country appreciation. Nice burn huh....

3 advices

As my friend told me "Monkey see, monkey do" here's some of my monkey part, got this email and feel like it's a thing to think about, enjoy it.

the 3 advices is this:

"First, never takes the shortcut. The convenient way and the strange path could possibly take your life.

Second, avoid being curious about the negative things in life, or not having obeyed it, your life might succumb to it.

Third, never make decisions in a difficult situation; otherwise you most certainly will later regret it.”

Laws of Attraction

I believe my self to have a serious problem with sense of jealousy, not that I’m a jealous person, but actually in the contrary, here’s my explanation:

“Call me old fashion, but when you love someone I believe you should be unselfish enough to give them what ever they want”

As Stevie Wonder sang:
All is fair in love,Love's a crazy game,Two people vow to stay,In love as one they say.But all is changed with time,The future no one can see,The road you leave behind,Ahead lies mystery,But all is fair in love. All of fate's a chance. It's either good or bad.
I tossed my coin to say,In love with me you'd stay. But all in war is so cold,You either win or lose,When all is put away,The loosing side I'll play. But all is fair in love,I should never have left your side.
A writer takes his pen to write the words again,That all in love is fair

Apropos from the subject I read is this:

I'd say not since the middle ages has religious fundametalism been so strong all accross the globe. Fundamentalism fuels more Fundamentalism and thanks to fanatic leaders like Osama bin Laden and George W. Bush, both found in a well broadcast medieval crusade, it is getting close to becoming mainstream in the moslem world and in America. Moderate Europe is becoming a key battlefield as lobbies in favor of more religion in politics are sponsored by both Christian Fundamentalism from America and Islamic Fundamentalism from the Middle East. They can rouse the hate groups- extreme right or left activists- and the weaker links in society. It's time for moderates to wake up.

Love has never been this beautiful

17 Desember 2004:
1st time we met, he was a caterpillar. Little boy who tried to charm me every night from public phone. 2nd time we met, he was still a caterpillar, but taller. He came with his motorbike to pick me up at my school but I made him walked me home. Time flies since were together. Still I can noticed my caterpillar grows up to be a butterfly, a better man everyday. It used to be he chasing me around, but my chubby butterfly has grown up so beautiful. Hes learned to fly and I chased him from Taiwan to HK. From Indo to Thai. Endless nights in Singapore, then countless quiet nights alone after his 2nd leaving to Taiwan. Whenever I recalled our 6 years together, I never knew loving someone can be this perfect. All the loving moments, fights that cost lots of tears, envy look from others.
Love, *through d years uve never let me down.U turned my life around. D sweetest days I found,I found with U. Through d years Ive never been afraid. Ive loved the life weve made. And Im so glad I stay right here with U through the year*

Hamlet - W. Shakespeare

"Frailty, Thy Name is woman"

"Doubt that the starts are fire, doubt that the sun doth move, doubt truth to be a liar, but never doubt I love"

There are more things in heaven and earth, than are dreamt of in our philosophy...

PS: I believe that women should have the same level as men. As some of the radio here claims that "Women are the architect of society" Is that true??? Well how bout the Gossip things? :) Peace!!!

Some point of view

Bout the Tsunami, I'm very sorry for the victims and their family, click on the title for further information bout tsunami (in English of course, not Waikiki language)

but here's some suggestion that got my attention me:

Religion cannot provide an explanation for the tsunami, and while prayer for the victims may comfort those who pray, it will not provide practical help to the people whose lives have been devastated by this appalling disaster. Science can explain earthquakes and tsunamis, even if we are still unable to predict where and when they will happen. Our response to this and other disasters, as compassionate human beings and regardless of our religious or non-religious beliefs, must be to provide whatever help we can.

Faith in god does not protect people from disasters or give the victims what they need to survive and rebuild their lives. We need to accept responsibility for our fellow human beings. We need to put our efforts into practical ways of preventing disasters when we can, preparing for disasters that cannot be prevented, including investing in early warning systems for tsunamis, and helping those affected by disasters. We cannot rely on any god to solve the world's problems. We - the people of the world - are humanity's only hope.
